^This month's Shining Star is a 16 year old young lady named Christina Moore a.k.a. Mz. Teena from Como, MS.  Christina is a 10th grade honor student at Independence high School and is a faithful member of the choir at Ebeneezer M.B. Church in Como, Ms.  This talented young lady is also a singer and a rapper that has been writing her own music for the past two years. The music she writes is very positive and involves real life scenarios of an every day teen.  In order to pursue her dream as an recording artist, Christina devotes all her time into her music, performing at shows across the South East and keeping up with her grades of course.  By doing so, she has already gained many fans from coast to coast.  Mz Teena has over 47,000 views for her songs on YouTube and counting.  She has been in the  Micheal Sykes aka Miami Mike (Soulja boy's manger) Talent show and this year she won 1st place in the Teen Extravaganza Competition in Atlanta, GA. For winning the competiton she was featured in a magazine and since then has release many songs and has a Mz. Teena 2012 calender out. In the her short two year career, Mz. Teena has made a name for herself and has enriched the lives of the youth all at the same time.
